[renge's completely aware that he doesn't love the same things she does, but no harm in trying to get him to like it! or at least, understand what she's talking about when she goes off on nothing short of a word adventure about some anime or game or whatever else it is that strikes her fancy.

but they've been watching a cute anime, one that doesn't require much attention, but one that renge is incredibly invested in, but has also watched a million times. so little tidbits of trivia are blurted out, openings are sung with enthusiasm, and her eyes are glued to the tv. well, most of the time. she can't help but glance over at richter every so often, to gauge his interest, or really, just to admire his beauty.

still, it's late, and her energy has been fading, ending with her eyes half open and her curled up on the couch, trying to be close to him and give him space simultaneously. it's so difficult not to drape herself all over him when he's right next to her, but she'll respect his bubble...

the episode ends, and renge rubs at her eyes, looking up at richter with a smile.] Did you like it? I think that episode is one of the best in the series...

[ It is... cute. And not mentally taxing, although maybe a little bit more of a strain on his ears, but frankly with all the time he spends with Renge's volume when she gets worked up, it's not actually that bad.

The show's alright, and Renge's enthusiasm for it does bring a bit of a smirk to his lips, although that's still the best she'll get out of him. As long as she's having a good time, he can range from tolerating it to actually enjoying it a little. ]

They did seem to finally get over some of their... communication issues. That was nice to see.

[ Not that he's actually good at communicating feelings, hahaha. It does look like Renge's close to falling asleep, and he wonders if he should bring it up or something. ]

They get better about it too! They're my favourite ship in the series...

[it's said quietly, and kind of wistfully. just because she doesn't have the energy she started with doesn't mean she can't express her feelings well. and those two... they make her believe in love, however flawed it may be. someone else does too, but that's not something to bring up right now.]

I'm glad you enjoyed part of it. And thanks for hanging out with me.

[she yawns and stretches her arms out, then looks to richter, smiling softly. this may be the only time in his life that he experiences a quiet renge.]

[ 'Ship.' Shipping. He's refrained from asking where that term came from, because he can understand what she means by it now, and that's about all that matters when the conversation is like this. ]

...I'm glad that it works out, then. Seems like it could be frustrating if it didn't.

[ Richter turns, and nods at her; while he's a bit tired himself now, he doesn't show anything short of total exhaustion very clearly, compared to the oh-so expressive Renge. ]
